Kurt Jackson (1961-)
Kurt Jackson a British painter whose large canvases reflect a concern with natural history, ecology and environmental issues. He studied zoology in Oxford but spent most of his time drawing and painting. In 1984 Jackson moved to Cornwall and currently lives and works near St Just. he paints using mixed media, drawing influence from the Cornish landscape as well as scenes from around Britain and abroad. The majority of his work reflects his commitment to the environment and the natural world. His paintings often carry small commentaries on the scene depicted.
